The celebration of Nollaig na mBan which took place in the beautiful surroundings of the Captain’s Room in the Hunt Museum in Limerick recently was a highly successful and enjoyable occasion. Organised by 3 members of ACI, it drew a capacity attendance of over 70 people who were treated to a varied and uplifting afternoon of music, movement, song and invocation, followed by refreshments provided in the Hunt Café afterwards.

This event, while firmly rooted in the Christian tradition and in the time-honoured custom of celebrating Nollaig na mBan on the 12th day of Christmas in Ireland, embraced and celebrated the creativity and spirituality of women worldwide, as those present were led in movement and dance by Sr. Mary Lillis, in song and invocation by Nóirín Ní Riain and in evocative traditional music by Fiodhna Gardiner, making for a truly unique and special experience.
