Pope Francis has requested that bishops consult with lay people in preparation for the Synod on the Family to take place later this year. What do YOU most want to say to the bishops on the subject of the Family?

The ACI are eager to have the voices of lay people heard and, to that end, the Dublin South ACI group is holding its next meeting on Thursday, 19th February, from 7.30-9.30pm in Kimmage Manor Parish Hall.

Please think about coming along and sharing your views. We want to hear from as many people as possible – we’d especially appreciate if you’d pass on this invitation to those among your family and friends who no longer feel welcome in the Catholic Church. Their views are equally important to us, and to the bishops as well.

We hope to cover some of the following key issues:

  • How do we understand “Family” in the 21st century?
  • The church and Marital Breakdown
  • How the church treats people who are in second relationships
  • The church and people in same-sex relationships
