I’ve already expressed my deep gratitude to all those who worked so hard to produce this letter on behalf of us all. I had a little niggle that they may be asked to show evidence they spoke for “millions”, so I asked if they could do so. I’m delighted to be able to say they were able to tell me that they DO have numbers to back up that statement. Isn’t it brilliant!

Like Jo I am grateful for all the hard work put in to give a voice to millions in the church, who currently do not have official structures to express their sensus fidelium,or who have been penalised (“silenced”,deprived of their ministries, threatened with excommunication etc…)
I think it is also important that, besides signing individually this petition, as many as possible let others know they have, including their priests, bishops, the nuncio, their pastoral councils, etc…
Chuch reform cannot be left single-handedly to the Holy Spirit and pope Francis:it is the responsibility of all of us!
