THE SYNODAL PATHWAY
The Declaration of a 'Synodal Pathway' - a journey towards a Synodal Assembly for the Catholic Church in Ireland (March 10 2021) may mark a watershed in its history - if it fulfils the promise of a return to dialogue and the task of renewal.
Apprised of ACI's concerns in 2019 for the slow progress of co-responsibility and faith formation at parish level, the Irish Bishops Conference has assured ACI that our submissions to it in 2019 - centred on the Baptismal Common Priesthood of the People of God - will be included in the Irish Synodal Pathway deliberative process.
The following documents were submitted to the ICBC, by the ACI Steering Group, for consideration at its autumn meeting in Maynooth beginning on October 1st, 2019.

Saint Pope John XXIII’s Prayer for a New Pentecost
"Come Holy Spirit, Renew Your wonders in this our day, as by a new Pentecost. Grant to Your Church that, being of one mind and steadfast in prayer with Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and following the lead of blessed Peter, it may advance the reign of our Divine Saviour, the reign of truth and justice, the reign of love and peace. Amen."
Saint Pope John XXIII, 1962 - In preparation for Vatican Council II, 1962-65.
