Integralism

Integralists oppose the neutrality of the state in matters of religion and social policy. They believe the state should favour Catholic social teaching, and are therefore opposed to pluralism. They tend to see the Constantinian state of Christendom as an ideal to which Catholics should again aspire, and to oppose the teaching of Vatican II on the importance of religious freedom.
