Local Meetings
In December 2012 supporters in Cork City, following on from the ACP Assembly, organised a very
well attended local meeting in Bishopstown. In February 2013 a first ACI meeting in the South East
was organised in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow. This meeting was attended by a representative of the
ACI Steering Group and a representative of the ACP Leadership Team. In March 2013 the first ACI
meeting in the Limerick area was held in the Redemptorist Monastery, Mount St. Alphonsus in
Limerick City. Again a member of the Steering Group spoke at this meeting and the Rector of the
Monastery, Fr. Adrian Egan, a member of the ACP, addressed those in attendance in the newly
refurbished Parish Centre. After each of these meetings a report was published on the ACP website
with a message of encouragement to others interested in reform in our church to call similar
meetings elsewhere around the country to promote the new lay organisation.
