PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
SUNDAY, MAY 20, 2018
On this Pentecost Sunday, when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the apostles, we humbly beseech our Father that we too be blessed with the wisdom of the Spirit, so that we may grow in love of God and neighbour.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer
We pray for the Church in Ireland and throughout the world, that we will be open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as we seek renewal and the true way forward together.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer
We pray for all children who are currently preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation – that the Holy Spirit may open their minds and their hearts to the true message of Jesus.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer
We pray for the people of Ireland, that as they consider their voting choice on Friday next, they will see the baby in the womb as the marvellous work and gift of our Creator and Loving Father.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer
We remember in our prayers today those women who may currently be traumatised by the CervicalCheck crisis. We pray that, with the love of family and friends, they will have the necessary support to carry them through these difficult times.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer
We bow our heads and remember in silence our own personal intentions and the intentions of those who have asked for our prayers.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer
